AusToolKit is a small, independent set of free calculators for common Australian financial questions: what you take home from a salary, how much tax you'll pay, how much super you're accruing, and what GST or stamp duty adds to a price.
Why We Built This
Most tax and finance calculators are either buried in dense government websites or bundled into a broader product trying to sell you something. We wanted something simple: a clean page, one calculator, a clear answer — with the reasoning behind the number explained in plain language, not jargon.
How the Calculators Work
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you enter — your salary, your property price, your super balance — is sent to a server or stored anywhere. The figures come from published rates: current ATO tax brackets, the Medicare levy, HELP repayment thresholds, the super guarantee rate, and each state and territory's stamp duty schedule. We keep these updated as rates change each financial year.
What These Calculators Are (and Aren't)
These tools are built for quick, general estimates — useful for budgeting, comparing job offers, or sanity-checking a number someone else gave you. They're not a substitute for advice from a registered tax agent, financial adviser or conveyancer, who can account for your full circumstances, including concessions, offsets and exemptions this site doesn't model. See our privacy policy and terms of use for more detail.
